ASSOCIATIONS: an example.
The keyword for the number 2 is REFLECTION. Its
planet is the Moon, its sign Cancer,
a cardinal water sign ruled by the Moon, and its element
water. Its Tarot card is the High Priestess, and
it rules emotions and feelings related to
the individual. Its qualities and skills include:
opposition, duality, balance, companionship, sensitivity,
teamwork, facilitation, cooperation, nurture, tact,
diplomacy, poise, agreement, relating, spirituality,
wisdom, sympathy, focus on relationships. Its colour is orange,
its precious stone the moonstone.
THE LIFE PATH NUMBER: an example.
The number 3 Life Path emphasises expression,
sociability, creativity. Entertainers will often be born
under this number, which produces bright, effervescent,
sparkling, optimistic people who may possess exceptional
creative skills, normally related to words and
communication: writing, speaking, acting etc. Achievement
is through expression. The positive elements of this path
include harmony, beauty, pleasure and sharing creative
talents with the world.

Creative imagination is present, if sometimes latent, as

make peace in inharmonious situations. In family matters

THE PERSONAL YEAR: an example (excerpt).
Year 5 can often be one which brings strong
challenges to face, and sometimes conflicts. This is the
'year of the unknown', and the key phrase for year 5 is
'expect the unexpected'. Roll with the changes, or be run
over by them. Nothing turns out as it seemed it would at
first. This applies to both good and bad; we may get
unexpected 'lucky breaks', but also outcomes may fail to
live up to hopes, or plans may suddenly change. The way
to deal with this is to avoid set a expectations, and not
allow ourselves to feel disappointed. Otherwise we may
waste some or all of the valuable and necessary
opportunities for growth which this year sets for us.
This will inevitably bring some difficult choices into
life anyway; but even under-achievement invites conflict
in Year 5 as the soul struggles to bring to human
attention that part of its purpose which is being ignored
or left aside. Only those highly attuned to their own
path in life experience year 5 as continuing success
which is in any way straightforward. For those few, it
can be a major year: the central one of the cycle, in
which body is most closely aligned with spirit. As by
this time we are attempting to look ahead, it might be
useful at this point to refer back to your previous,
completed cycle, where 1995 was Year 5.
It is useful to look back and question whether anything
of major importance was abandoned during the previous
year 5, ie. exactly nine years ago, as if you are
currently in a year five this is also a time of being
given 'second chances'. Because of the opportunity for re-alignment
with the soul's higher purpose, we also often have the
opportunity during this year to 'pick up where we left
off' in year 5 of the previous cycle. In this case we
must look at the reasons why we did not continue to
follow the path we were on at that
time, and make certain we have assimilated any lessons
from that experience so the same mistakes or unhelpful
patterns are not repeated. Never forget that year 5 is
all about resuming the path toward the soul's higher
purpose.

THE
EXPRESSION NUMBER: an example.
Taking the name 'Mark' as an example, where M
has a number value of 4, a of 1, r
of 9, and k of 2 we add these
together and obtain number 16. This is further
reduced to a single digit, ie 1+ 6 = 7, so the
name 'Mark' has an expression number of 7. (The
whole name, ie. all names given at birth or adopted
since, or the forename and surname together, can also be
used for this purpose).
Thought, analysis, introspection, and seclusion are all
characteristics of the expression number 7. The hallmark
of the number 7 is a good mind which is especially good
at seeking and finding truth. A capacity for analysing,
discriminating and judging can mean that little escapes
your observation or understanding. You are the type of
person that can get deeply involved in a search for
wisdom or hidden truths, and may thus become an authority
on what you focus on. This may be technical, scientific,
academic, religious or occult; you will pursue any knowledge
with the same vigour. You have an ability to teach and an
inclination to disseminate information.
If you are inclined toward the spiritual, you may become
involved in psychic exploration or religion. You tend to
operate on a rather different wavelength, and even your
friends do not know you well. A positive aspects of
number 7 is that you are a perfectionist.. You are
logical, and employ a rational approach to most things
you do. Because of this, at times you can seem to lack
emotion; indeed, when faced with an emotional situation,
