HOW DO NUMBERS AFFECT MY LIFE?

Throughout life certain numbers become significant, such as birthdays and house numbers. Many believe that numbers each have a meaning on a spiritual level. Certainly they have long been associated with other esoteric disciplines such as astrology and mythology, as well as being linked to planets, professions, precious stones and minerals, tarot cards, colours, ideals, letters, character or personality types, interests and use of personal energy.
The traditional associations of one number are given in the 'examples' section.

Some of the ways in which numbers can be analysed for their personal meaning in life are as follows.

THE LIFE PATH NUMBER

This is obtained by reducing the full birth date to a single number, eg 8th October 1975= 8+1+0+1+9+7+5=31; 3+1=4; this gives a life path of 4; or 14th April 1952= 1+4+4+1+9+5+2= 26; 2+6= 8. This number stays with you throughout life and is considered to represent an aspect of the karma you have chosen for this lifetime.

There are two exceptions where the life path number is only reduced as far as two digits. This applies to the numbers 11 and 22, an example of the significance of a life path number is explained later in this text

THE BIRTHDAY

The birthday (the date of the month) can be taken into consideration along with the Life Path, and may modify its effects in your life if it is a different number, It represents certain character traits, attitudes and ways of doing things which you chose for this lifetime .The meaning of a birth number is given in the 'examples' section.

THE PERSONAL YEAR

There is considered to be a recurring 'spiritual cycle' of nine years. Each cycle has a theme in terms of the soul's learning, and each year within a cycle has its own meaning. The date you were born (life path) determines at which point in a cycle you were born; the current year is obtained by adding the date and month of birth to all of the digits of the current year; for instance, if you were born on 27th June, and want to know your personal year point for the current year, 2004, you would add 2+7+6+2+0+0+4=21; 2+1 gives a personal year of 3. The meaning of one the years within a nine-year spiritual cycle is given in the 'examples' section.

THE EXPRESSION NUMBER

Each letter of the alphabet has a numerical equivalent. Thus, words have a number value, and this is the basis of name analysis. The expression number is derived from adding together the numbers associated with each letter of the full name, but it is also possible to analyse just the name by which you are most commonly known.

These are again reduced to a single digit, except in the case of numbers 11 and 22, and are considered further modify the Life Path by representing character traits, attitudes and ways of doing things which you chose for this lifetime. Changes of name sometimes occur throughout life and these are considered to bring a different quality or tone to the person's life, if the resulting number value is different from that of the previous name.

A brief analysis of an expression number, and how to obtain the letter values, is given in the 'examples' section.

THE ACCOMMODATION NUMBER

Your place of abode will often have a number by which it is known. We are often able to have a degree of choice in the number of the home we live in, so this is considered to be a choice we have made. This number is believed to influence the quality of life, financial status, level of activity and the interests of the inhabitant(s).

These numbers are also reduced to a single digit, except in the cases of 11, 22 and 33, which are considered to have their own meanings. Information on the significance of a home number is given in the 'examples' section.
