She returned to Liverpool after 7 years in London, where in addition to her astrological and clairvoyant practice, she worked as a professional musician, music lecturer and songwriter, singing with jazz and classical ensembles or performing her own material.
Her performing career has included writing, recording and releasing eight records, gaining international airplay and press reviews. She has composed music for fashion shows and produced, arranged and written commercial releases for other acts. She is also a qualified teacher of music, specialising in vocal skills, and has many years experience of lecturing in universities, colleges and drama or performing arts schools in London and Liverpool, for example, for 4 years she taught singing to 13-18-year-olds at the British School for Performing Arts in London.As well as performing professionally in ensembles or as a solo artist, with or without musicians, over the last 10 years, she has toured Europe, done BBC radio interviews and sessions and made numerous TV appearances.

In recent years she has written two musical plays which have been staged in theatres in the Northwest of England. The first, 'It's my Party', was staged at Unity Theatre, Liverpool, having previewed in as part of the International Womens' Festival at the Voodoo Room and Blackburne House.

She then collaborated with three visual artists, a musician, a film-maker and a video artist on producing another multi-media musical play, 'Danger! Vacuum', which was staged at the Pacific Rd Theatre, Hamilton Quarter, Wirral, previewing first at Williamson Art Gallery. Merseyside. More recently she was a member of the band 'Cant', and has worked with individual musicians on both original material and classic standards over recent years. She has co-written new material scheduled to be performed in a new musical show.

Additionally, with her scriptwriting partner, she has co-written a new comedy drama for TV.
Gayna speaks several languages (to varying degrees of success!) including French, Spanish, German and Italian
